About me
Craft runs in the family.
I'm the joiner behind Scribe & Fit — a specialist fitter for bespoke kitchens, fitted furniture, staircases and doors in London and the commuter belt.

My story
From a forest town to London.
I grew up in a small forest town where woodworking goes back generations, and I learned early that a job isn't finished until it's right.
I've spent the last 7 years in high-end joinery — on everything from family kitchens to the rooftop restaurant and bar of a five-star London hotel. Along the way I found the part of the job I care about most: the fitting. The moment a beautifully made piece meets a room that's never quite straight, and has to look as if it grew there.
So that's what I do now. I don't make furniture. Your kitchen maker or joiner builds it, and I install it — carefully, and to a standard I'd be happy to have in my own home.
The name
What “scribing” means.
Scribing is cutting wood to fit an uneven shape exactly — a wall that bows, a floor that dips, a carved column. You trace the line, then cut to it, so there's no gap left to fill.
It's the skill behind every job on this site, and it's where the name comes from: Scribe & Fit.

How I work
What you can expect.
I plan before I cut
Templates, drawings and careful measuring come first. The cutting is the easy part.
I look after your home
Floors and new materials stay protected while I work, and I leave the room clean at the end of each day.
I'm clear about costs
Quotes from photos and drawings are free. If a site visit is needed, I'll tell you what it costs before I come.
I reply, and I turn up
I answer enquiries within 1 working day, and I arrive when I say I will. Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm — weekends often possible.
